ROCKY MOUNTAIN

      MUSTANGERS

From the President

By Bryan Lowry

As your newly elected President, I would like to thank you for this opportunity.

I'm looking forward to another exciting year of Mustang activities. Some of you may wonder who is this guy? Where did he come from? What qualifies him to be club President? I found myself in the unusual position of not having to campaign for this office. Well, I've been a Mustang enthusiast since Ford Mustangs first roamed the boulevards. As a kid, I remember saying to my Dad, "Hey, look at the Mustang", as we drove around my suburban Detroit stomping grounds. Much later, my Mom helped me acquire a '65 Mustang coupe as my very first car. Soon after that, I bought my first Shelby Mustang, and I was hooked. Spending six years in Montana, I served for two years as the President of the Treasure State Mustang Club. Additionally, I served as the newsletter editor for all six years. You might say I'm a dyed in the wool Ford fanatic! I would like to thank the outgoing officers with a hearty "well done". Additionally, I would like to congratulate the other incoming officers, Neil Case, Vice President, Bob Syrotchen, Secretary, and Mike Spoelman, Treasurer, on their election and willingness to serve this great club. I also offer a sincere thank you and a job well done to our outgoing President, Ross Schwyhart. Ross has been especially helpful, preparing me for this office, and I look forward to his participation as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Speaking of the Board, we recently met and discussed many issues to include the state of the Bylaws. All agreed, although the Bylaws are very good, they need updating. In this newsletter, you will find the latest version of the Bylaws along with the Board's recommended changes. Please review the Bylaws and the recommended changes and be prepared to vote on the proposed changes at he next general membership meeting. Again, thank you. Together we'll raise this club to new heights

The Ford Mustang is America's favorite car!

From the 4/00 issue of 5.0 Mustang Magazine Kelly's Blue Book conducted a survey to find out what was America's overall favorite car - the result - THE FORD MUSTANG! It is good to know the rest of the country knows a good thing when they see it!

The driving event has 110 slots and over 50 of those are already taken and it isn't even the end of February yet! It looks as though the driving event will sell out much sooner than in the past. Heed this warning Coneheads if you want to drive at the RMMR in Steamboat!
